Almost 2 years later...

I thought to give a quick update on everybody on the blog, so it will stay written somewhere.
Since the spread, everybody went their own way, and it feels like the last episode of "Friends", where you know they continue doing their stuff, but you don't follow their daily lives anymore. Which is so much more boring.
But not everything is sad, as we kept meeting and seeing each other quite often.

After a chilly New Year's eve in Budapest with Verena,

the whole bunch gathered in May, 2015 again, spending some lovely and much missed days together, including a hike where we got soak wet from the rain :D but arrived to beautiful lake Carezza.

And then again in lovely autumn November with a special BBQ and hike.

Andy came to Eindhoven and to Leuven, tasting Dutch trains and Belgian waffles.

I saw Simge in Istanbul during a conference, and we went back there with Amr to spend a party night with her and Boran as well! (Thank you Jameson!)

Lotti came to Budapest and chilled at lake Balaton.

Amr came to Transylvania and climbed some rocks!

As for everybody separately, I can only tell how much I know.

Yvonne found a good job in Dresden and travels a lot with (and without) the company (Mallorca baby!). Sebi also found a job, and they moved to a different apartment, with a nice balcony :)

Simge works in a bank in Istanbul and is super elegant and sexy! She loves it and she's blooming.

Boran is in Izmir, and might be going for a position to Innsbruck! Congrats man!

Lotti finished bachelor and continued with masters in Bolzano. They moved together with Riccardo into a new apartment in Gries. They are cute and happy together!

Andy and Vere are still in Bolzano, Andy doing phd with Marco, and Vere teaching piano and studying in the meantime. They are strong and support each other.

Amr keeps Leuven it, joined by my bestie, Reka. His latest paper being presented at NYC! Congrats!

Sarah and Valentin have become a strong couple, buying their own place in bz, and Sarah now playing the bass guitar in Valentin's band.

Mariano moved to NY for good, and keeps discovering the city while playing guitar in Central Park.

Martin got a position in Tokyo, Japan, and they are hiring! :) He still beats everyone at Judo.

Josef left Jakarta and moved to California to work for Protege!

Lukas keeps exploring Canada and its snowy weather, either by foot, bike or motorbike, reaching the Arctic Circle.

Vito works in yet-another coffee bar in Bolzano (Room 44).

I left Holland after a 10-day New Zealand trip, and now try my luck at home in Transylvania, hiking along the way as much as I can.

As for some other people not everyone might know (no specific order):

Sergey (Pugach) lived near Twente for a year, and disappointed by Holland, is moving back to Bolzano for a phd position.

Simon and Paramita are happily traveling the world together.

Austrian Andy had his wedding in Vienna, for which a small EMCL party gathered!

Tobi is in Vienna too, doing phd and being "ok" with it :D, losing the Lisbon shine.

Benjamin and Davide are the new office-mates at KRDB.

Elena and Vlad are getting married!

Luis and Naomi are happily back in Mexico.

Anton moved and got married in the US.

Martin (Bezdek) moved back to Prague and got married.

Stan moved back to Holland and started his own design company.

DJ Alex keeps playing the records in Bolzano area discos and clubs.

Ondrej got married and visited the far East.

Enrique is in Athens, while most of the EMCLs in Vienna.

Caroline and Julian moved to Berlin and have two kids. Caro started her own kid's fashion business.

Thank you Bolzano for bringing so many people together!

And here's a bonus photo of the gay retard :D

The spread

After the spreading of most of our group, breaking up with Bolzano seems to many of us to be much harder than thought.
Yvonne and Sebi are trying their luck in Freiburg, and go home to Dresden sometimes.
Amr is happily phd-ing in Leuven, and checking out the multitude of hot chicks on the streets.
Lotti is healing her hand, finishing her studies and comes home to Bremen for holidays.
Vere finished her diploma (Congrats!) and can now fully teach.
Andy is licking Marco's balls on a daily basis, but he's a hard phd/(work)-er.
The apartment on via Crispi is now filled with Andy and many times Vere.
Sarah works in my office with the guys, she's happy and shining.
Valentin is becoming a rock star, and they live together now with Sarah.
Simge posts some nice pictures sometimes, and Boran is out of contact, I guess they also finished studies.
Joe found work in Jakarta and still looking for a wife.
Lukas is in Canada, happy doing lots of sports and loving work.
I am in Delft, under depression of my decision to come do phd here.

Life goes on, and indeed there was a very intense power, a magical energy that brought us all together, and that separated most of us at kinda the same time. However happy we were just being together, it had to end for some reason. For our lives to go on, for our future to show what it has in store for us.
I know I made friends for life. I know we will all be dancing at each other's weddings, and we will be more happy for each other, understanding each other by the looks.
Maybe that pure force of creating so much love between these people couldn't have lived forever. Maybe it will bring us all back together again. I just know, it was the best year of my life, by far. And I'm very grateful for it. But leaving it seems like I've got handicapped. Without the daily laughter, lots of hugs, jokes, mensa together, going out for beers or to talvera together, saturday market shopping, or beautiful weather hiking.
Miss you guys... too much.

Flight thoughts...

Hallo Hallo ..

Well, I want to share my thoughts that I had during my flight here, and still having. It is such a mixture between the adventure that I am heading to and why did I do that as it was optional to come here since I really loved being there so much. Am always having this thought, did I make the right choice to leave Bolzano specially this summer. If I stayed would you guys stay also. It is not about the place. It is about the people that you met, loved, still loving. Its super hard not to take the Bro's advises and jokes, the lovely's pianist smile and passion, the Turkish Sultan's craziness, the Turkish Sultana's love, the princess's lovely adventures and discoveries, and of course everything about the queen every single second.

Distance is a factor, but in this case, Its a very small factor. Did I make a mistake leaving Bolzano and going to Aussie. Were I ready for that change. Were I ready to start a new adventure when the old one is still not finished, and it will never be to be honest.  This mixture of feelings comes and goes. Sometimes am like yaaay Australia, and sometimes am like what da.. did I do. Why do we have to go, why don't we stay all together. There is chance yet its is super slight to find people like you again and yes I want to spend all my time with you guys.

A lot of questions need to be answered and there is no time since I am starting to work on Monday and I really need to put all of that aside to do what I gotta do. but in the end, I love you guys ( #theThoughtfulPrince )

Good night ? .. wait .. Good morning !

Hallo Hallo ...

Australia baby ! .. well, didn't see much of it yet. but .. Australia baby.

All the way from Milano. was very excited to meet my friends later in Dubai !. Arrived to Dubai around 7 pm. The first impression I had was DAAAYM that's super hot, in a 43 degrees and super humid weather.

A friend was waiting for me ! he had a car so I went to his house, had 2 hours rest then I hit the road again. I went to dubai mall, Aaaaaaand guess where I was, Burj-Khalifa, aka BURG-khalifa, right ... Queen ?. I was looking up and the clouds were passing through it very normally. I was with 2 of my egyptian friends. But you can't imagine how much I was missing you guys. I video called our amazing pianist and turkish Sultan/kid, I was super excited to share that moment with them in front of that huge Building ( that's what she said, eeh ? ). That when it hit me, I am already sharing every moment with you guys ..... So, there you go

Then It was time to say goodbye to Dubai. hitting the airports again for a 14 f**king hours flight. I didn't sleep that much during it. Yet, the in-flight entertainment of Fly-Emirates is awesome. I watched 4 episodes of himym, 10 of bbt, Alice in wonderland the movie and skyfall. aaand I still had time. vaffanculo !

and Then Arrived to Aussie, The flatmate picked me up, having a queen-sized bed It was 6 am when I arrived. Being super sleepy I went to bed saying good night .. but wait.. its good morning ! .... ( #theTravellingPrince)

Amr in DUBAI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another one hits the road

As we said our (temporary) good bye-s to #TheEgyptianPrince, we realized we could not decide if it is good to leave Bolzano, and we envy the person leaving, or we are the strong ones to survive, and the others are the weak runners. The decision is hard, since the first choice comes with new adventures, new places, new people, but leaving best friends and lakings. Whatever your point of view is, Bolzano brought us all together. It might not be the place to live forever for most of us, but it could be a meeting point from time to time for all of us.

So dear friends, go, walk, drive, fly, buon voyage, have awesome new adventures, see new places, different people, make a lot of mistakes, and eventually, return back to where it all started... (#TheNotLeavingYetQueen)
